National Geographic did a big spread with profiles on people who showed up to March in Washington. They included this picture:
If you have been following the nearly 100 days of riots and looting in Portland, Oregon, you know exactly who Xavier Warner is, because Warner is a regular contributor to the worst of the mayhem. It’s actually kind of amusing that the leftists at National Geographic did not use Warner’s trans name of “Princess,” because usually they are into that.
Princess is one of the leaders of the Black Lives Matter group in Portland. She was caught on many videos in the physical beating of another trans woman. That altercation inspired a good Samaritan to get involved. The BLM rioters then turned their assault on that man, who climbed into his white pickup truck trying to get away. They caused him to crash his truck. Then they pulled him out of the truck and beat him unconscious. That was at around Day 80 of the riots, which Mayor Ted Wheeler has decided to allow to continue.
Do you think the folks at National Geographic are unaware of the reputation and interests of the person they are promoting? If you simply Google Warner’s name, you get videos of Princess’ handiwork as the first results. (I tried.)
BLM leader “goes off message” in Kenosha rally
A peaceful march and rally took place in Kenosha on Saturday asking for justice for Jacob Blake, who was shot on Sunday.
Most of the speakers talked about justice peacefully. But near the end of the rally, one man introduced as “our president” strayed from the message by saying, “If you kill one of us, it’s time for us to kill one of yours.”
The man, who was not able to be immediately identified, said:
“I love being black. I love black people. I know some of you may not want to say that … You tell us how to behave when you have taken our lives. The black man is worth something. His life is worth something. I have to say god damn it – if you kill one of us, it’s time for us to kill one of yours. I know everybody don’t want to hear that. But damn why are we the ones who have to keep burying ours and got to keep clean for you to see us as being human? We ain’t never did nothing to nobody.”
You would think that a local BLM leader saying it’s time to start killing people would be worthy of national news, but here we are.
Social media (particularly Twitter) is full of Antifa and BLM folks trying to crowdsource lethal weapons and body armor, too. These folks have graduated beyond rocks and fireworks to a school-shooter mindset. Most of these personalities already fall on the spectrum of self-harm, too, so they have no sense of consequences. This is like a modern civil war video game to them.
But “outside agitators” is just a right-wing trope!
Kenosha Police have issued an update on arrests and criminal activity since Monday, Aug. 24.
The police said they will not be at the daily 1 p.m. press briefing as they prepare for the president’s visit Tuesday.
The news release said Chief Daniel Miskinis would have shared the following information at the briefing:
More than 20 firearms were seized, followed up by active investigations
Arrest numbers include of people from 44 different cities
3 vehicles have been towed. All are related to active criminal investigations
69 people were arrested for curfew violations
34 people were arrested for curfew, plus additional charges ranging from carrying concealed weapons, burglary and possession of controlled substances.
As of 12:30 p.m. August 30 a total of 175 people have been arrested.
Of the people processed during this week, 102 listed addresses from outside of Kenosha.
“We are currently calculating damage estimates to businesses. Kenosha Police will continue to share information when it becomes available,” the news release said.
I would love to see a list of the people and cities they come from, because even National Geographic is highlighting that these domestic militants are well-traveled. The same people who are roughing up Portland are also roughing up Washington DC. And if Kenosha showed anything, it’s that these people really let it all hang out the further away from home they are. The destruction in Kenosha was far worse than anything seen in the CHOP or Portland. I guess that shouldn’t be surprising, as these people think Middle America is full of Nazis. Of course, hundreds if not thousands of people were responsible for the Kenosha riots. Police only picked up a sliver of them.
A woman who lives next to Car Source in Kenosha describes what it is like when help does not come
Josie Rodriguez, a resident of a house adjacent to Car Source, recalled seeing what she described as a mob descend into the lot and begin smashing cars.
“It was a terrifying time,” Rodriguez said. “I thought, ‘Oh my god, they’re coming here.”
As she phoned 9-1-1, Rodriguez closely watched the unfolding events, which resulted minutes later in a car being set ablaze.
Then, an explosion.
An inferno spread quickly from one vehicle to the next, she said.
“I’m talking flames licking the sky. They were so big. And you hear, ‘boom, boom, boom’ – explosion, after explosion, after explosion.”
Rodriguez said she then dialed 9-1-1 again, but help did not come. Dispatchers told her it was not safe for firefighters to respond to the scene, she said, so she fled for the night.
Anmol Khindri, a member of the family who owns Car Source, estimated the monetary losses at over $2.5 million.
Khindri said police notified him of the damage, but he feels little was done to prevent them.
“Everybody watched it burn to ashes,” he said. “Nobody did nothing about it – nothing.”
The morning following the fire, Rodriguez said she felt relieved that the worst had supposedly passed. Then Car Source was hit again.
Khindri estimated the business’ monetary losses from the first night at about $1.5 million. After figuring the damage sustained during the second episode, he said it was closer to $2.5 million.
Now, with insurance providing no immediate alleviation, Khindri said the business is at a complete loss for what to do next.
“I have a family to feed. I have 20 other families who have worked for this business over the last eight or nine years.”
“It’s easy for the government to say ‘alright, guys, you’re on your own. I’m sorry, your insurance doesn’t cover it. Oh, I’m sorry for your loss.’ No, that’s not an answer. This happened because they let it happen.”
Rodriguez believes the public should apply their time and energy to uplifting the community, adding, “It is beautiful to see everyone supporting each other, but the damage is done, and the trauma is horrific.”
In this context, is it really all that surprising that local militias are starting to form? What are these people supposed to do in the face of catastrophic government failure? All of these towns are controlled by liberal swamp creatures who prefer to reject federal assistance in keeping the peace. Then they tell first responders to stand down and watch it burn. This formula has been repeated several times this year, and it has created billions of dollars of destruction to small businesses and ordinary people. What are people supposed to do, go sleep at a hotel in another town and shrug, “well, I guess they get to burn my life down tonight”?
